In 1851, John and Mary Crapp and their four children were living in Poline (house or street name, near Gerrans) in Cornwall. John is described as an agricultural labourer, as are three of the children, Mary Ann aged 16, and Ann Maria and John, both aged 14. Elizabeth was aged 6.3
