Marriage and Family
Alice Mary Nye and Louis Henry Dudding were married in 1884. They had seven children.1
 
Second Marriage
Charlotte Lavinia de Morton and Louis Henry Dudding were married at St Augustine's church in Shepparton on 11 February 1918. This was the second marriage for both parties: Charlotte had been widowed in 1909 and was now aged 51, and Louis was widowed in 1916 and now aged 61.1,6
 
PERSONAL
A quiet wedding was celebrated in St Augustine's Church of England, Maude-street, on Monday evening by the Rev ND Herring, the contracting parties being Mr L Dudding, of Wyndham-street, and Mrs CL [De] Morton, daughter of Mrs MA Williams, of Tallygaroopna, and sister of Mr RC Williams, farmer, of Marion Vale. After the ceremony they adjourned to the home of the bridegroom for the usual breakfast, and left by first train on Wednesday morning for Healesville, where they intend spending a part of their honeymoon.7
 
Charlotte and Louis lived at 'Kent Cottage', 104 Maude St in Shepparton, the home of his parents. This was later renumbered 106 Maude St.

In June 1920, Charlotte's mother Mary Ann died at 'Kent Cottage'.9,10,11,12,13

Between 1918 and 1926, Louis gave his occupation as 'agent'.

His work was connected to music. In a 1921 newspaper notice, he advises:
Allan & Co's piano tuner is in Shepparton and district. Orders should be left with Mr L Dudding, Wyndham Street.

In his probate, Louis is described as a 'music warehouseman'.1,9,11,14,15
 
Louis Henry Dudding died in Shepparton in 1930, aged 74. He was buried at Shepparton cemetery on 19 October.2,16
