Jamieson-Williams Wedding The marriage of Mr Robert Jamieson, third son of Mr and Mrs Jamieson, of Rutherglen, and Miss Thelma Annie, third daughter of' Mr and Mrs RC Williams, of Mooroopna, took place in St Alban's Church of England, Mooroopna, on Saturday afternoon, the officiating clergyman being the Rev. MO Davies. The church was prettily decorated by Miss Nellie Harridge, who presided at the organ and played 'O Perfect Love' as the bride entered the church. Suspended at the top of the aisle was a large wedding bell. The bride, who was given away by her father, was charmingly gowned in an ankle length dress, of Magnolia satin with flared skirt and train of silver, lined with pink georgette, hung from her shoulders, and wore a lace veil fixed with a circles of silver leaves and orange blossom (gift Mrs Graf, of Preston), white shoes and silk stockings to match. She carried a shower bouquet of hyacinths and tiger lilies. The bride was attended by her sister, Miss Rita Williams, who was frocked in an ankle length dress of white georgette fully flared, with bolero effect. She wore a pink hat and shoes and stockings to match, and carried a bouquet of petunias and carnations. Pretty little Lola Hehir was trainbearer dressed in white georgette. The bride’s mother wore a navy blue costume with hat to tone, and carried a bouquet of dahlias made by Mrs R Bazley. The duties of best man were carried out by Mr Geo. Jamieson (brother of the bridegroom). A delightful solo 'My Prayer' was rendered by Miss G Towers during the signing of the register. Subsequently about forty guests attended the wedding breakfast at Messrs EM Little and Son’s Cafeteria, when the customary toasts were honored. The beautiful wedding cake was made by Mrs CJ Norton (sister of the bride), Miss L Norton assisting in its decoration. The happy couple left on the evening train for Melbourne, where they will reside. The bride travelled in a bois de rose and brown ensemble suit with hat and shoes to match, and wore the bridegroom's gift, a fur necklet. The bride's gift to the bridegroom was a travelling rug and the bridesmaid was the recipient of a navy blue bunch bag and the train-bearer a signet ring. Many present were received including cheques. Train bearer Lola Hehir is the daughter of Thelma's sister Lila.
