Gertrude Ann 'Toti' Milovitch was born on 9 October 1914 in Mooroopna, Victoria.1,2 
She married George Sloper in 1934.3 
She died on 4 December 1996 in Shepparton, Victoria, at age 82.4

Story

Gertrude Ann Milovitch is one of nine children, and the youngest of four girls.

The birth of 'Annie' Milovitch was registered three months after the start of the First World War. She is still known as Annie in her 1927 school enrolment.1,5
 
In a Milovitch family bible, she is Gertrude Ann, and this is the name used on her marriage registration and her father's probate documents.2,3,6
 
To relatives who spoke of her, she was 'Toti'.7,8,9,10
 
In 1927, Annie Milovitch is shown as commencing at St Brendan's primary school in Shepparton.5
 
Toti worked for a time at Shepparton Fruit Preserving Co (later SPC). In 1933, while attending the cannery ball in the Paramount Dance Palais, Toti and Mr Lawley won a competition prize for their cap dance.11
 
Marriage and Family
George Sloper and Gertrude Ann Milovitch married in 1934.

They had six children, three boys and three girls.3
 
Toti had met George while working in the Mooroopna cafe run by her cousin and his wife, Bill and Mag O'Connell.9
 
She helped with the large and growing family of her brother and his wife, Thomas and Doreen Milovitch.7
 
Toti died in Mooroopna aged 81 or 82.4
