William Magnus Larsen was born on 8 May 1886 in Shepparton, Victoria.1,2,3 
He married Leura Kerr on 25 April 1913.4,2 
He died on 22 November 1976 in Finley, New South Wales, at age 90.2

Story

All the Larsen children attended the Congupna township school.5
 
Death of Anna Margaretha 
Anna Margaretha suffered for several years from tuberculosis, known at the time as consumption or phthisis.

Anna Margaretha Larsen died of tuberculosis in Congupna on the morning of Saturday 24th November 1904, aged 56. She was buried at the Shepparton cemetery on 26 November.6,7,8
 
Most of the family was still in the family homestead; only the married Anna Carolina had moved out. Meta was the youngest at 13 years old. Eldest remaining daughter, Carnie became house-keeper and carer for her father and the younger family members.9
 
Laust, Denmark Visit 1906
In 1906, two years after mother Anna Margaretha died, father Laust returned to visit family in Denmark.10,6
 
Two family photos were taken beforehand to take to Denmark. One was a family portrait of Laust with his nine children. The other was taken in front of his 'Fairfield' homestead and included spouses and grandchildren.6,10

Up until the beginning of the First World War in 1914, brothers Bert and Billy Larsen played tennis and football at the Congupna Recreation Ground.11
 
Marriage and Family
Bill Larsen and Leura Kerr married in 1913. They had seven children, five born in the Shepparton area and two in Finley, New South Wales.12

Farming
Bill was a farmer. The Shepparton rates show him owning 199 acres in Congupna in 1910, then leasing 520 acres with his brother Bert until 1914.12,13
 
In 1922, William had a clearing sale as he prepared for moving to Finley:
WILLIAM LARSEN'S UNRESERVED CLEARING SALE TALLYGAROOPNA.
On farm known as Wm Phillips', 1½ mile miles east of Town.
FRIDAY, MARCH 3, 1922.
8 Horses, 27 Cattle, 88 Bags Seed Wheat, Implements, and Household Furniture.14

 
Bill Larsen died in 1976 in Finley, aged 90.2
