On licensed premises: Two young men, Vincent Milovitch and Eric Noble, were then charged with having been unlawfully on licensed premises. Sen. Constable WG Baker said on November 20 he found the two men at O'Connell's wine saloon. They admitted having a friendly drink, one being a nephew of the licencee. They were not lodgers. Milovitch-York Wedding The marriage was celebrated, at St Brendan’s Roman Catholic Church, Shepparton, on Monday afternoon last, by the Rev Father T Murphy, of Mr Vincent Milovitch, son of Mr and Mrs P Milovitch, of 'Kinvarra', Nixon Street, Shepparton, and Miss Henrietta Addie York. The bride, who was given away by Mr PJ Darcy, was attired in an ivory brocade frock trimmed with pearl. She wore an old English lace veil. The bridesmaid was Miss Nellie Milovitch, sister of the bridegroom. She wore a dress of mauve crepe de chene and black georgette hat, trimmed with mauve, and carried a beautiful bouquet. Mr M O’Brien was best man. Subsequent to the ceremony a reception was held at the residence of the parents of the bridegroom where the wedding breakfast was laid out, Mr PJ Darcy presided. Conspicuous on the table was a large three-tier wedding cake which had been made by the sister of the bride in England, and sent on to Shepparton. The toast of 'The Bride and Bridegroom' was proposed by Mr M O’Connell, that of 'The Bridesmaid', by Mr J Haddock, 'The Parents of the Bridegroom' by Mr M O’Brien, and that of 'The Ladies' by Mr O’Connell. In the evening dancing was engaged in and a very enjoyable time spent.10 | |

After they married, they lived in Ardmona where Vincent was working. Daughter Veronica was born in 1928. In June 1929, Vincent's father Paddy was killed while riding his bike home from work. At that time, Vincent and Henrietta were living in Adams Avenue in Shepparton. In 1930, they were renting a place in Orr St Shepparton at lot 132 Mason's Estate. Son Desmond was born around this time. In 1931, they lived at Shepparton East. Son Ronald was born around this time.11,12,13,14 | |

Military Service Vincent enlisted for military service in April 1942 at Tatura when he was living in Toolamba. His service number was V395218 and he served in the 16 Battalion Volunteer Defence Corps. The four children were aged between three and fourteen. He was discharged in October 1945.3 | |
